Governor Cuomo Announces PassiveLogic Winner of 76West Clean Energy Competition

PassiveLogic is one of six winning companies of the 76West Clean Energy Competition, a program of New York State’s NYSERDA. This is the largest competition in the country to solely focus on clean energy businesses and growing economic development. It is in conjunction with “Southern Tier Soaring,” New York’s strategy to grow the economy and communities of this region.

“The 76West Competition is an example of creative economic development strategies spurring start-ups in the industries of the future,” said Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul. “We’re incentivizing clean energy innovation to create more jobs and opportunities in the Southern Tier and throughout the state. Investing in renewable energy and other clean energy solutions also ensures a cleaner environment and stronger economy for future generations. Congratulations to all the 76West winners who are bringing their business and clean energy technologies to the area.”

PassiveLogic received a $250,000 cash prize. PassiveLogic intends on using these funds towards Southern Tier manufacturers for final product development.

Over 150 startups applied for this funding, narrowed down to 20 finalists, and 6 winners.
